GEARING UP FOR 2008!
2007
FISHING UPDATE
Minneapolis / St. Paul Waters of Minnesota
|
| APRIL-MAY |
| StrikeQuest
started the 2007 season with excellent crappie fishing on White
Bear Lake. The month of May is always a good time to check on
the St. Croix River for Walleye and Sauger action.
Andrew Francis and Ed Philpot took first place for big walleye
(9lb. 3oz. lunker) in the "1st Annual Beach Bar Walleye Classic"
on the St. Croix River and 3rd place for heaviest walleye stringer
out of 50 boats. |
| JUNE |
| The
St. Croix continued to have outstanding walleye action in the month
of June. StrikeQuest switched gears to local lakes
and had great success on Tiger Musky's and big Northern Pike. |
| JULY |
| The
Tiger Musky bite continued and the big Bass started to show up on
mid-lake spots and a number of lunkers were taken. Lake Phalen produced
a 6lb. 10oz lunker! Lake Gervais produced 25lb class Tiger Musky! |
| AUGUST |
| The
first half of August produced numbers of large Bass. This turned
out to be some of the better Musky fishing that StrikeQuest
has seen in a number of years. |
| SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER |
| The
Upper St. Croix produced numbers of Small-Mouth Bass and the Walleye
night bite on the Lower St. Croix for big fish was some of the best
StrikeQuest has seen. StrikeQuest
looks forward to anglers interested in fishing for these monsters
at Midnight! |
